Manage Spam Protection
cPanel includes Apache SpamAssassin to filter unwanted emails.
Enabling Spam Filters
- Log in to cPanel
- Go to Spam Filters
- Click Process New Emails and Mark them as Spam
Auto-Delete Spam
- In Spam Filters, enable auto-delete
- Set the spam score threshold (5 is default)
- Emails scoring above this are deleted
Spam Score Explained
- 0-4: Likely legitimate
- 5-9: Possibly spam
- 10+: Almost certainly spam
Whitelist Senders
- Go to Spam Filters → Show Additional Configurations
- Edit the whitelist
- Add trusted email addresses
Blacklist Senders
Block specific addresses or domains:
- Go to Spam Filters → Additional Configurations
- Add addresses to the blacklist
Tip: Check your spam folder regularly. Legitimate emails sometimes get caught.
