Control Your Disk Usage

Monitor and reduce disk space usage to stay within limits.

Checking Disk Usage

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Look at the right sidebar for disk usage
3. Or go to Disk Usage for details

What Uses Disk Space

• Website files (public_html)
• Email messages
• Databases
• Backups
• Log files

Reducing Usage

Clean Up Files

• Delete old backups
• Remove unused themes/plugins
• Compress or delete old logs
• Clear cache folders

Optimise Images

• Compress images before uploading
• Use ShortPixel or similar
• Delete unused media

Email Cleanup

• Empty trash and spam folders
• Delete old emails with attachments
• Set mailbox quotas

Database Cleanup

• Delete spam comments
• Limit post revisions
• Clear transients

Large File Finder

1. Go to cPanel → Disk Usage
2. Sort by size
3. Identify largest directories
4. Clean accordingly
